Description: Grape sized floating waxy bodied plant-like organisms capable of expanding or contracting their bodies to intake or expel water as well as alter their internal salt content. Photosynthetic bacteria give them a pale purple hue. Contractive motions are often used to clear build up of salts from their surface.
